About Us
Rainbow has been called "the competition with a heart" for a good reason. With a quarter century of performing professionally, and another dozen years of teaching dance, it was easy for Rainbow's founder, Vikki Anthony, to create a Mission Statement:"The dancer's feelings and self esteem come first, last, and always. For me, there is no other reason to teach or create a venue to perform for aspiring dancers."
Rainbow Connection has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. With 19 Regional Cities and 2 National Finals, we are proud to announce a 90% rate of sold out events!
In 2006, Rainbow Connection, joined the Federation of Dance Competitions, which is working to establish uniformity of standard practices in the industry. We are proud to be working along side other incredible competitions such as KAR, Starpower, Showbiz, Nexstar, Starquest, Applause, Thunderstruck, Spotlight, Bravo, and Masquerade. We believe there are great things to come from the FDC in the very near future and are proud to be a part of such greatness!

In 2007, Rainbow introduced the World Dance Challenge, which hosted dancers, teachers, and parents from around the world. The next WDC is being planned for the 2009 Summer Nationals.
Rainbow is also proud to be the first to offer its champions the opportunity to travel and compete overseas. For eight years its "Dancers of The Year" have been sent to Australia to compete and enjoy cultural exchange. This is an unpresedented opportunity and prize for dancers in the competition world! Rainbow Connection is honored to be able to extend such a lifechanging opportunity to its 2 Junior and 2 Senior winners each year.
At no time does Rainbow lose sight of the fact that its success is owed to the hard working teachers that appreciate a fair, fun, organized, and ontime competition. From its on stage MC, Pot of Gold Parties, and state of the art judging and scoring, Rainbow Connection aspires to deliver a quality product to the dancers, directors and parents alike.
The Rainbow team will nver rest on its laurels, and promises to make each competition a fun and memorable experience. Thank you dance enthusiasts for fifteen great years!
